EXIM Thailand Joins Hands with Altervim to Build Green Supply Chain Bringing together Entrepreneurs from Upstream to Downstream toward Low Carbon Society and Sustainable World

Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), Mr. Boonchai Opas-iam-likit, US, EU & UK Business Chairman, Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd, (CP), and Mr. Somboon Lertsuwannaroj, Chief Executive Officer, Altervim Co., Ltd. (Altervim),  recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in “Green Supply Chain Financing” as full-fledged financial facilities to build the green supply chain for Altervim, a member of the CP Group, in its total solutions for clean energy development and investment in Thailand, Malaysia, and China along with other companies throughout the supply chains at EXIM Thailand’s Head Office. This aims to support and encourage Thai entrepreneurs of all business sizes to take part in export-related manufacturing processes using clean energy and energy-saving technologies.


Under this cooperation, EXIM Thailand will offer financial products with special interest rates to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions for the CP Group’s supply chains through Altervim. The Bank will support entrepreneurs from upstream to downstream throughout the CP Group’s supply chains, covering suppliers, exporters, and dealers. Long-term loans will be provided to finance investment in solar power system installation whether under Private PPA (Private Power Purchase Agreement) with Altervim being the investor to install solar rooftop systems for customers in its supply chain or in the form of self-investment by customers in its supply chain.  EXIM Thailand’s financial solutions have been made available to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to clean energy at low costs and empower them on the global front with higher competitiveness. Entrepreneurs may apply for carbon credit registration service from EXIM Thailand at the Bank’s expense in order to support Thai businesses’ operations under environmental, social, and governance (ESG) framework and with aspiration to achieve carbon neutrality and net zero emissions in response to the sustainable development goals alongside the policy and operation guidelines of the CP Group to drive businesses and entrepreneurs in its supply chains toward the carbon neutrality and net zero emissions targets. Altervim is a business unit under CP Group providing renewable energy solutions for other business under CP Group as well as supply chain business and other business beyond CP Group. With Company’s track records of development, investment and installation more than 2,500 solar rooftop projects for business under CP Group such as CPF, Makro, 7-Eleven, Lotus’s and TRUE, and provide digital energy platform service as total solutions for entrepreneurs’ energy management using clean energy. With potential target business over 30,000 customers under CP Group’s supply chains to propel sustainable development.
